Born in Chennai on December 23, 1973, to Mary and actor Williams Vasantha, she was Vichithra Williams. The six-person family includes Vichithra’s brother and two sisters. She studied psychology for her BA. In September 2011, her father was robbed and killed. She married Shaji and moved to Pune.
Her breakthrough came in 1992, when she played ‘Madippu’ Hamsa in Selva’s Thalaivasal. She has minor parts and cameos in respected films including Rasigan (1994), Muthu (1995), and Suyamvaram (1999). She briefly appeared on television, starring in Maami Chinna Maami. She lives simply and represents the film business.
